FURY ROAD
Working alongside my comrade and mentor of almost 20 years, I teamed up with writer/dramaturg Nico Lathouris for Fury Road. The mandate from George Miller was; wherever the camera pointed, the world should hold. I was responsible for training the some 120 local Namibian and international stunt people, who would make up the horde known in the film as the Warboys. With a daily regime I designed, we trained for almost a month, working with guitarist Iota and local drummers. It was a program designed to connect the group as brothers and to spark the idea that they were fighting for something greater than themselves.
