Boy Swallows Universe
At casting stage, I worked with director Bharat Nalouri and casting director Nikki Barrett running workshops in the search for the lead characters Eli and Gus.
In rehearsals I worked predominantly with Felix Cameron (Eli) and Lee Tiger Halley (Gus). Felix, a relatively new actor, had the mammoth task of carrying 5 episodes. The focus in rehearsals was about creating a strong relationship between the brothers, finding ways to anchor into the story and for the young actors to establish connections to the emotional rollercoaster, on their own terms.
Later in the rehearsal process we were joined by Bryan Brown, Travis Fimmel and Phoebe Tonkin— which solidified the family unit whose enduring love for each other are the core of the story.
